Never too late

Ever thought why some of your sacrifices offered are in vain? Well, that is because the offering should be accompanied by a true change in the heart.  An offering to God is not any meaningless ritual that is to be ticked off a 'to-do list'.

We can set things right with the Lord though our sins be scarlet and crimson red. Our sins will be forgiven and turned as white as snow and wool. Sounds fab, right? But how?

  • Don't disown the Lord. It means to not refuse to acknowledge as belonging to the Lord.
  • Cease doing evil. This is fairly simple, do nothing that is morally wrong, wicked or harmful.
  • Don't be corrupt / dishonest. Don't accept bribes.
  • Learn to do good. Be kind, righteous, pious.
  • Make justice your aim. To act justly, fairly with everyone.
  • Redress the wronged. Set right an unjust situation.
  • Hear the orphan's plea. Defend the fatherless!
  • Defend the widow. Hear the widow's pleas!

Got an idea of the things we do that bring sin into our lives? May we strive every day to set things right with the Lord. It's never too late! Help the poor, the suffering especially orphans and widows. May their cries not reach unto heaven, when you are around to lend a hand. Be the hand of God. Do the little that you can. Open your eyes and ears to people around you.

From Isaiah 1.
