On a wing and a prayer

Hold a silent prayer in your soul as you go about doing your everyday things. Our direct talks with God allow:

1) Acknowledging God's power
2) A meeting point with our fears, hopes, and dreams
3) Trust that all things will work well

It is God's plan for us to grow and learn how to fly. He wants us to experience all of His glory and pleasure. God wants us to delight in His will. He gives us our wings and strengthens them through trials and hard times. Then He gives us courage to try again and again. Our faith makes us realize it is God who is the wind beneath our wings.

The snows on the mountains
are melting into the streams
The streams are skipping happily into the rivers
the sea is calm
the rivers rush down
when thou are calm
and thou are bowed
all things will rush to thee

The Hand of God

May you pause to pick a flower and brush the hand of God!

The heavens speak of the creators glory and the sky proclaims Gods handiwork.
Psalms 19.2

I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know his thoughts. The rest are details.
Albert Einstein.

How vast is creation! I see the planets rise and the stars hurry by, carried along with their light. What then, is this hand which propels them?
Gustave Flaubert

Misty light

Like the sunshine lifts the mist
May a prayer strengthen my sprit.
The path i am on is new and strange
A dense mist blinds the road
I do not know where it will end
Nor do I really know myself.
But I believe this:
You will lead me for the sake of your name.

Waiting

In trying times, we feel like the very roadmap to our lives is hidden. Every path waits to be discovered by us... a dream waits to be unwrapped. Life is not a smooth road all along, but one filled with adventure, surprises, laughter, hardwork and tears.

We wait for a change, but search your heart to uncover your dreams. Hope is the only key when things seem dark and bleak. Sometimes, you've done everything and the end feels near, but never give up...as anything can happen if you follow your dreams. A prayer is the only relief, faith is sometimes all we need.

While waiting on God to answer prayers, take stock of your blessings. Turn the wait into a treasure hunt for the blessings that we often take for granted. Answers come in God’s time -- not ours.

James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

"The hope of the upright man will give joy, but the waiting of the evil-doer will have its end in sorrow." Proverbs 11:23

"I am waiting for the Lord, my soul is waiting for Him, and my hope is in His Word." Psalms 130:5

A Meadow Lark song by an unknown poet

"The child whispered, 'God, speak to me'
And a meadow lark sang.
The child did not hear.

So the child yelled, 'God, speak to me!'
And the thunder rolled across the sky
But the child did not listen.

The child looked around and said,
'God let me see you' and a star shone brightly
But the child did not notice.

And the child shouted,
'God show me a miracle!'
And a life was born but the child did not know.

So the child cried out in despair,
'Touch me God, and let me know you are here!'

Whereupon God reached down
And touched the child.
But the child brushed the butterfly away
And walked away unknowingly."
